Black Women in Europe™: Power List 2010 – Call for nominations

The Most Powerful Black Women in Europe List

Inspired by Forbes’ Most Powerful Women 2010 List on which Michelle Obama is named the most powerful woman, I decided to compile the Black Women in Europe™: Power List 2010.

The Black Women in Europe™ Social Network members have submitted nominees and I invite you to do the same. You can suggest a name to be included on the 1st Black Women in Europe™: Power List 2010 by commenting on this post or by emailing

Simply include a name of a powerful black women in Europe (or 2 or a dozen), their country, and why they are powerful. If they have a website please include the URL.

And above all thank you for helping to create Black Women in Europe™: Power List 2010!

And a special thank you to Mark Derek McCullough for creating The Most Powerful Black Women in Europe logo as an early birthday present to me.

Black Women Bloggers in Europe Series – Germany 4 – A Sister in Germany

A Sister in Germany

Hello I might be torn between english and german but my goal is obvious: to contibute my widow’s might to a representative view of the african diaspora in Germany.Profiling individuals/groups of african decend in/from Germany who bring positive balance on the scale of poor press image.Unfortunately the mainstream press has mostly left our stories to clichees.More often we are invited as entertainers/listeners and not as active contributors to the society we live in.I believe in telling these stories because they serve as examples and a source of motivation to the the next generation.
