Caroline Henderson is a performer. Apart from her musical career Caroline Henderson has acted in several plays and movies, including the Spanish drama “Tuya Siempre”, which won three awards at the Malaga film Festival 2007. She won great critical acclaim in the Howard Barker play “Dead, Dead, Very Dead”, directed by Jacob Shokking. She won a Grammy for Best Vocal Recording at the Danish Music Awards 2007.

For five years Caroline Henderson has been a goodwill ambassador for Unicef with special attention to violence against children. She also supports Okobarn, a campaign for better health and organic products for children.

Enezaide do Rosário da Vera Cruz Gomes, OIH, is a Portuguese heptathlete. She has competed in many competitions including the Olympics, European Athletics Championships, and the European Athletics Indoor Championships. She won gold at the World Athletics Indoor Championships.

Joan worked at the Social Welfare Studies Centre ‘The Orphanage’, where she eventually was coordinator of two homes for Moroccan children. In addition, she teaches cross-cultural pedagogy and research assistant at the University of Amsterdam. Then in 1997 four women’s empowerment organizations merged decided, by January 1, 1998 Ferrier was director of what became the new Institute for Gender and Ethnicity, in the course of that year was renamed the E-Quality. Previous honors include the award for Black Women Manager 2008 from the mayor of Rotterdam Mr. Opstelten. Ms. Ferrier is the daughter of the late Johan Ferrier, the last governor and the first president of Suriname.

She was included in the Black Women in Europe™: Power List 2010.
