Get it done at Vote From Abroad.org.
We have a message for your New Jerseyan, Virginian, and Ohioan students studying or interning abroad. It is called “Voting While Studying Abroad In 6 Easy Steps”. For all Americans abroad and at home, voting is a fundamental part of participating in a democracy. We get to indicate which issues we care about and get to elect people who will enact the laws that reflect that. Elections happen every year including this year. If you are 18 or older and not a registered voter, register online today in New Jersey, Virginia, and Ohio. Do it now if you’ll be 18 on election day, November 2, 2021. Just go to votefromabroad.org.
We’ve attached a video that outlines the 6 Easy Steps students take to vote while abroad:
Step 1 register and/or request your absentee ballot.
Step 2. If you haven’t received your ballot within a few days, check your spam folder.
Step 3. Print your ballot, vote it according to the instructions, sign it, and return it.
Step 4. Put your stamped envelope, with the correct postage, in the mail.
Step 5. Check with your local election office to see if your ballot was received and counted.
Step 6. Make sure your friends studying abroad do the same thing. It’s fun!
